Individual mastheads for Multi-view group members

Schools using the Multi-view feature can now create individual mastheads for each member of the group. When a member is selected it will display a unique masthead. This can be used in combination with individual logos and symbols.

How does it work?

It couldn't be easier! Just create a new folder inside the 'Images' section of your Resource Browser using the Resource manager and name it: Mastheadimages.

Name each image 'mv_masthead[id].png/jpg/gif' where 'id' is the ID of the individual multi-view group member. You can find this number by going to 'General settings' and clicking on 'Edit or add a new member'. Select a member to find its ID number. Create a masthead image for each member of your group.

Example: mv_masthead[8].jpg

Your website will now display the group members masthead each time the member is selected. The masthead will be displayed until a different group member is selected.

Image size

To get the best results make each of your masthead images 980 pixels wide by 280 pixels deep. They can be JPG, PNG or GIF files. If the images are larger they will be trimmed off at the right and bottom edges.

Using logos

You can combine the masthead image with a logo by placing a logo file inside the 'Logo' folder. Name the logo image file: 'ourlogo[id].png/jpg/gif where 'id' is the ID of the individual multi-view group member. You can find this number by going to 'General settings' and clicking on 'Edit or add a new member'. Select a member to find its ID number. Create a logo file for each member of your group.

Example: ourlogo[8].jpg
